Scrambled eggs recipe for beginners





1/4 cup milk
salt and pepper, as desired
2 tsp. butter
Yields: 2 servings


BEAT eggs, milk, salt and pepper in medium bowl until blended.

HEAT butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. POUR IN egg mixture. As eggs begin to set, GENTLY PULL the eggs across the pan with a spatula, forming large soft curds.

CONTINUE cooking – pulling, lifting and folding eggs – until thickened and no visible liquid egg remains. Do not stir constantly. REMOVE from heat. SERVE immediately.


Learning how to make easy scrambled eggs can be fun! Spice up this easy egg favorite by adding pepper jack and salsa or lighten it up by substituting cooking spray and water for the butter and milk.

Avoid cast iron. Eggs scrambled in a cast iron skillet can turn a greenish shade. This harmless but unappealing color change is the result of a chemical reaction between iron in the pan and sulfur in egg whites.

Don’t overcook. The heat retained in the pan will continue to cook and firm up the eggs after pan is removed from heat.

How long to beat? It’s a matter of preference. Light beating produces more dense scrambled eggs. Vigorous beating aerates the eggs, resulting in lighter fluffier curds.

Holding scrambled eggs: It’s best to serve scrambled eggs as soon as they are cooked, but if necessary, they can be held for a short time. Place the skillet of cooked eggs over a pan of hot water rather than over direct heat.

Cheers to Cherry Bars – A delicious treat to share at your holiday gathering




Need a delicious treat to share at your holiday gathering?

Michele, our resident designer, brought in an amazing cherry treat for all of us here at the retail store. It was so good I thought I would share… Enjoy!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 to 20 minutes


2 cups graham cracker crumbs (9 graham crackers)
¼ cup sugar
½ cup butter, melted
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
21-ounce can LUCKY LEAF® Regular or Premium Cherry Pie Filling
½ cup coconut
½ cup chopped pecans


Preheat oven to 350ºF. (reduce heat to 325º F if using non-stick pan).

Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter in a small bowl. Press into a 13×9-inch baking pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk over crust. Chill for 10 minutes.

Top with Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling. Evenly sprinkle coconut and pecans over pie filling layer.

Bake uncovered at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
